Meet Brayden F.
Current Job: Walmart logistics
Education Program: Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain, Transportation, and Logistics Management
About Me: I’m 31 years old, married, and have two kids. After I achieved my associate degree in 2016, my educational journey took a surprising turn when my 2-year-old son was diagnosed with Autism. In spring 2018, my daughter was also diagnosed with Autism. The following summer, I learned about the Guild Education program with Walmart. I was excited to see the Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain, Transportation, and Logistics Management…I applied as soon as I could, and was registered to start in the fall. The beginning of that fall, I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. After so many MRIs, steroid transfusions, and blood tests, I had to medically withdraw from courses and start again in January.
Education Inspiration: Through much-needed help from my loving and hardworking wife, caring family, and a diligent Guild Education student advisor, I am now in my final course to receive my bachelor’s degree. (Psst…Brayden has since finished his final course and graduated!)
Education Aspiration: I am hoping to get promoted so I can better take care of my family.
What’s More: My Guild Education student advisor helped me be more organized in my studying. With her help, I was able to make schedules to help manage my time with work, family, church, and school. Doing that allowed me to get assignments submitted on time, achieve better grades, and increase my GPA score.
